I've tried other products from American Crew and other brands, but only because I couldn't find American Crew Original Pomade. This is the one and only. Recently tried American Crew's new variation of pomade and they're only acceptable, just not the same. Please American Crew, don't ever stop making this stuff. It's got good hold (I don't like stiff, hardened feeling of regular gels or pastes or whatever else is out there), smells great and makes my sometimes dry and bristly hair softer and moisturized. My wife also loves it in my hair.
Son uses for the newest style! He has fine hair and this product keeps the styled shape in the high humidity.
My bf loves this pomade. It has great hold and shine. It's good for next day wear too. He simply resets his hair and combs it back in place.
Bought for my husband. He's a throw back to the 50's hair style. Must admit I like him using this rather than the hairspray. The overspray that landed on the floor was a mess.
