I love this blue shampoo. Keeps the cool tones in my hair and does not dry out my hair like other shampoos. I am able to use this 2-3 times a week and successfully tone my hair while keeping it healthy at the same time!
I just went blonde back in September and my hair stylist recommended this because I have a lot of red undertones that always caused my brunette hair to get extremely brassy. She said even though most people use purple shampoo with blonde, if you have brassiness from red undertones, the blue pigment fights the orangey color even better. I use it 2-3 times a week, sometimes less and my blonde has been brass free and beautiful! I would definitely buy again. But I don’t really need to because a little bit of this stuff goes a LONG way! Only use about a quarter sized drop and lather, lather, lather!
I use this twice a week and I do feel like it helps keep my hair from turning brassy. The only think I don't like is I don't feel like it suds up enough. So after letting it sit in my hair for 3 minutes ill rinse then wash with my regular shampoo. It's kinda fun to use blue shampoo too haha.
I have bleached hair from an ombre/balayage and I naturally have dark brown hair, so orange/brassy tones are hard to avoid. Joico Blue Shampoo helps my hair by neutralizing the orange tones of my hair. It is rather drying, so definitely keep up with conditioning (and oil treatments, if needed). However, do not leave this stuff on for too long, or it will turn your scalp blue.
I looove this shampoo!! I used to have blonder hair, so I was using the purple shampoo, but I recently dyed my hair more on the ashy brown side. I continued using the purple shampoo, thinking that it would still fight my brass but it was actually making my hair warmer. THANKFULLY I discovered this blue shampoo which is really great for fighting brass for brown hair. I was starting to get worried and thought I would need to touch up my hair already only 2 weeks after getting it done so super happy that I found it!
